Pickled Red Cabbage Salad

This great tasting simple Pickled Red Cabbage Salad goes together very quickly.

The slightly tart, yet sweet taste goes well with poultry or pork.

An excellent simple recipe for a quick side dish.

Gather the few recipe ingredients and the tools you will need.

Empty the jar of Pickled Red Cabbage into a large bowl.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 large jar of Pickled Red Cabbage
  • 1 apple
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1/2 sweet pepper
  • 1/2 bunch of green onions

Dice up the apple - Go Here to see how it is done.

Add this to the pickled red cabbage

Dice up the celery stalk - Go Here to see how it is done

Dice up the 1/2 sweet pepper - Go Here to see how it is done

Add the celery and sweet pepper to the pickled red cabbage bowl.

Dice up the green onion - Go Here to see how it is done

Add the green onions to the bowl.

Stir to blend all the ingredients with the pickled red cabbage.

Serve right away or cover and refrigerate.

Recipe Notes:

1. Any left-overs will keep for a week in a sealed jar - I just rinse the one that the pickled red cabbage in, and use that.

2. This salad is better the second or third day - after the flavours have had a chance to mingle.
