Layered Peas Salad
In a Glass Bowl or Mason Jar

A Layered Peas Salad in a glass bowl looks appetizing set on a buffet table but it also looks good layered in a mason jar for a handy lunch.

By putting the peas at the bottom with the dressing, you keep the layered lettuce from getting soggy and everything remains fresh and crisp.

Collect all the Layered Peas Recipe ingredients and the tools you will need. (i.e. 4 small mason jars)

Layered Peas Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 can sweet peas
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) sugar
  • 4 tbsp (60 ml) celery
  • 1/2 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 strips cooked bacon

Mix the mayonnaise and sugar together really well and divide this among the mason jars.

This bottom layer is the beginning of your layered salad.

Drain the can of peas and rinse them to remove any excess sodium. Allow the peas to thoroughly drain before using them in your layered salad.

Divide the peas among the 4 mason jars, right over top of the dressing.
