Step 1

  1. Carefully remove the head of Boston lettuce from the packaging.
  2. The leaves are very delicate, so be gentle.

  1. The root ball is left attached and there will be dirt on the leaves, so it will need to be washed.

Step 3

  1. Stack the leaves, one on top of the other.
  2. These will be the first to shred.

  1. Have a sharp serrated knife handy.
