How to make Boston Lettuce Wraps for lunches or snacks
Ever wondered how to make Boston lettuce wraps? You see these cute and delectable wraps on T.V. and in magazines but are worried that they are too hard? Have no fear - just follow the tutorial below and you will be having lettuce wraps for lunch.
Carefully lift the Boston lettuce from the package. Remember it is a very delicate leafed lettuce.
Remove and discard any bad outer leaves.
Trim any brown or wilted tips from the Boston head.
Remove the next leaves (these will be the largest) from the head.
Remove only as many as you plan to use for wraps.
Place these in a sink or large bowl of cold water.
Submerge these, and gently swish them around.
Carefully remove each leaf, letting it drain a bit first, to a kitchen towel or paper towels.
Using more paper towels, pat each Boston leaf dry.
Place 1 tablespoon of filling in the centers of the Boston wraps
Fold up the bottom, fold down the top.
Fold in the sides so that they overlap each other.
Flip your wraps over so that they stay folded up.
