This Crab Salad Sandwich Recipe is so easy & quick that you will want to make it more & more often.
It is also a great way to get more seafood (and Omega3) into your diet.
In this simple seafood recipe you can use freshly cooked crab meat,
left-over crab meat, or canned crab meat. Even the imitation crab meat works
just as well.
This simple salad recipe is a great alternative to boring lunch sandwiches and it is really healthy for you too.
1. Mix all ingredients together in a medium sized bowl
.2. Chill overnight or for at least 4 hours before serving.
Yield Makes 4-6 thick sandwiches.
This same crab salad recipe can be used for making great
tasting canapes for your next entertaining party. Simply follow the
recipe as above BUT dice all the ingredients to a smaller size.
A slice of cucumber can be used under the salad instead of lettuce or cracker. A slight sprinkle of paprika ads a finishing touch of colour.
Did you know that Spider crabs are the most popular in Europe because of their long legs, which contain lots of sweet succulent meat.
In North America nothing beats the Alaskan king crab. Their legs are really long and full of flavourful meat.
Crab legs purchased from the grocery stores are almost always pre-cooked and flash frozen. Cooking these is just a matter of reheating; by boiling, steaming or microwaving.
The freshness and the flavour is ensured by cooking the legs as soon as the crabs are caught. All the commercial crab boats are out-fitted with proper kitchens and flash freezers.
