Crab Lettuce Wrap Recipe

This crab lettuce wrap recipe can be put together very quickly, looks elegant and tastes great. A perfect combination for busy schedules. The filling can even be made ahead and kept refrigerated until ready to wrap.

Recipe for Crab Lettuce Wrap Filling

Assemble all the recipe ingredients and required utensils.

Make sure the lettuce leaves are washed and dried and ready to go.

I usually use Green leaf lettuce, although other varieties can be used. Check out How to wash green leaf lettuce to be sure you do it properly.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1/2 Pound (225 gr) Crab Meat – finely chopped (thawed, if frozen)
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Lemon Juice
  • 2 Celery Stalks - finely diced
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Green Onions - finely diced
  • 2 tsp, White Sugar
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Mayonnaise


1. Finely chop the crab meat.

Then dice up the celery and green onions.

2. Mix all recipe ingredients together in a medium sized bowl.

3. Taste test and adjust the recipe seasonings to your preference.

Now we are ready to begin to prepare a lettuce wrap.

4. Place 2 tbsp of the crab meat mixture into the center of large washed and dried lettuce leaves.

5. Fold in the sides and then wrap the top and bottom over, tucking in the sides.

6. Secure the crab wrap with a toothpick.

7. Arrange the wraps on a plate or platter and serve with a dipping sauce or alone.
