Cherry Cheesecake Parfait Recipe

This Cherry Cheesecake Parfait Recipe is like eating cherry cheesecake out of a glass. There is NO cooking involved and it tastes just like cherry cheesecake.

A great elegant fruit parfait recipe for dessert that is quick and easy to prepare.

You can make this dessert parfait ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator, until needed - just leave the last dollop of whipped cream and garnish til serving time..

You may want to use the smaller glasses for this one, since it is very filling.

Cherry Cheesecake Parfait Recipe


• 1 can of cherry pie filling

• 1 tbsp (15 ml) sugar

• 1/2 cup (120 ml) graham cracker crumbs

• 2 tbsp (30 ml) melted butter

• 12 oz (340 gr) cream cheese, room temperature

• 1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream

• 2/3 cup (160 ml) confectioners sugar, sifted

• 2 tsp (10 ml) Amaretto

• 1 cup (240 ml) whipped cream or dream whip

• mint sprigs or/and shaved chocolate for garnish (optional)


1. Blend the graham cracker crumbs into the melted butter and sugar. Set aside.

2. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese to a smooth consistency. Beat in the sour cream, confectioners sugar and Amaretto.

3. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.


1. Place about 1 - 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of the graham cracker crust in the bottom of each of the glasses. (The amount will depend on which size and how many parfaits)

2. Layer some of the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the glasses.

3. Next add a layer of the cherry pie filling. (Adjust the amount accordingly).

4. Repeat layers and top with a dollop of whipped cream and shaved chocolate garnish.

5. Serve your parfait immediately or refrigerate until needed.

Yield: makes 4 large parfait or 6 smaller parfait
