Black Beans Orange Salad Recipe
A Great Summer Combo

This Black Beans Orange Salad Recipe will remind you of summer's fresh vegetables.

The touch of cinnamon is just a perfect little perk.

Gather all the ingredients and the necessary tools for this black beans orange salad.


  • I can black beans
  • 1 orange - I chose a blood orange
  • 12 grape tomatoes
  • 1/2  of an English cucumber
  • 1 sweet bell pepper - I substituted 1 small red onion instead
  • olive oil
  • sherry vinegar
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • pinch of cinnamon

Drain and rinse the black beans to remove the sodium.

Thinly slice the red onion.

Slice the half cucumber and then cut it into quarters.

Cut the grape tomatoes in half.

Add the onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes to the black beans in a medium sized bowl.

Score the orange to remove the peel

Segment the orange and then cut each orange segment in half.

Add the orange pieces to the salad bowl with the black beans.

Whisk 1 tbsp (15ml) of sherry vinegar with 3 tbsp (45ml) of olive oil.

Add salt & pepper and a pinch of cinnamon - to taste.

Pour dressing over your black beans salad and mix to coat everything with the dressing.
