Turkish Leek Salad Recipe

In this Turkish Leek Salad Recipe the Turkish people combined the leek with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.

The lemony vinaigrette is preferred by Turkish people and suits the fresh flavours quite well.

Gather up all the necessary ingredients for this Turkish recipe, as well as the tools you will need.

Turkish Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 leek
  • 1/2 English cucumber
  • 1/2 package of grape tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) parsley
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste



Start to prepare the leek by trimming off the green part and the butt end.



Slice the leek in half lengthwise and the slice thin slices crosswise.

Place the washed and drained leek pieces in a medium sized bowl.


Slice the cucumber in half lengthwise.


Thinly slice the cucumber crosswise and add to the leek bowl.


Cut the grape tomatoes in half lengthwise and add to the bowl.


Add the lemon juice.


Add the fresh parsley or parsley paste.


Add the olive oil.


Stir to blend all the ingredients together.Taste test and adjust the salt & pepper.

Cover and refrigerate this Turkish salad for a few hours before serving for best flavour.

Recipe Yield: This Turkish Salad serves 4.
