Greek Acropolis Salad Recipe

This Greek Acropolis salad Recipe was named by the Greek peoples themselves.

The word Acropolis means the "best" - it is the highest honour. Therefore they obviously thought this Greek Acropolis Salad was the BEST salad they had ever eaten.





Gather up all the ingredients for your Greek Acropolis Salad.

You will also need a medium sized bowl, sharp knife, cutting board and measuring utensils.


Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe Plum Tomatoes - diced
  • 1/2 green pepper - chopped
  • 2 stalks celery - chopped
  • 1/2 leek - chopped
  • 1/2 English cucumber - chopped
  • 1/2 red onion - sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) feta cheeses - crumbled
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) sliced black olives.
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Greek Feta Dressing



Chop up the plum tomatoes - Go Here - to see how to do it.

Place them in a medium sized bowl.


Dice up 1/2 of the green pepper - Click Here - to see how.

Add to bowl.


Chop up the celery stalks - Click Here - to see how

Add to bowl.


Remove any bad leaves from the leek, wash it thoroughly and pat it dry.

Trim off the top and butt ends.

Cut in half lengthwise.


Cut across the leeks into bite sized pieces.

Add to bowl.



Cut the half of cucumber in half lengthwise and then cut across into thin slices.

Add to bowl.


Peel and cut the red onion in half, then cut thin slices.

Add the feta cheese and the olive slices to the bowl.


Pour the dressing over the top.



Stir to blend everything together.

Serve right away or cover and refrigerate.

Recipe Yield: This Greek Acropolis Salad serves 8

Recipe Notes:

1. Regular tomatoes can be substituted for Plum Tomatoes.

2. This Greek Acropolis Salad tastes better the second day - after the flavours have had a chance to mingle.
