English Pea Salad Recipe
Not just for English People

Sweet & creamy, this English Pea Salad Recipe will please even the picky eaters.

The bacon and finely diced onion really add to the flavour combination of the peas and corn kernels.

If you don't have Salad Cream - a Cole slaw dressing will do as a substitute.

Wow - only 5 ingredients to make this English Pea Salad.

You can even cut down on time by buying pre-cooked bacon or Bacon Bits instead.

English Pea Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 can of sweet peas
  • 1 can of kernel corn
  • 1/2 small red onion
  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Salad Cream

Cook the bacon strips til crispy and then remove from pan to cool.

Drain the cans of peas and corn kernels. (I usually even rinse them with cold water just to remove any excess sodium.)

Next - dice up the cooked bacon - the smaller, the better.

Place the drained peas and corn into a medium sized bowl.

Add the diced onion and bacon.

Add the Salad Cream or Cole Slaw Dressing

Blend everything together gently, so you don't mash up the peas.

Cover and refrigerate your English Pea Salad til served.

Recipe Yield: This English Pea Salad serves 6
