You can substitute any type of small pasta for the elbow macaroni.

Recipe Yield 8 - 10 servings

I remember one time, at our family cottage, when I was just a young girl - my aunt came to visit for the weekend with her family - she had prepared her cold pasta  recipe at home & brought it with her. As we helped to carry her luggage, etc. into the cottage and settle her 2 infant sons in grandma's lap - we inadvertently forgot to bring in the salad. When we did remember it - it was all gone - the bowl was on the ground and licked clean. We discovered the culprit was the family dog, who gave himself away since he still had mayo all over his face. That dog definitely was in the dog house all weekend.
