Summer is Here
Asian Fusian Salad Recipe

In North America, we tend to mix vegetables with vegetables and fruits with fruits - but other countries are not as strict on this behaviour and that is why many of the Asian and Oriental dishes tantalize our palates.

Some combinations of fruits and vegetables - mixed together - (this is called "fusian") create both pleasant and intriguing, easy and simple salad recipes.

Of course, as with most vegetable or fruit salads, the dressing plays a large roll in the flavour. The Sweet Sesame Vinaigrette used in this fusian recipe is normally used on green salads - BUT - again the Asian and Oriental cultures love to experiment and this dressing pairs exceptionally well with the fruit combination.

This Asian Fusion Salad Recipe is one of such combinations. It is difficult to say whether it is a fruit salad or a vegetable salad. I'll let you decide.

This Salad Fusian Recipe is a delicious and refreshing companion to shrimp or any type of fish or a barbecued meal on a hot day.

With just a few ingredients - you can have this delightful Asian Fusian Salad Recipe prepared in no time.

  • 1/2 English cucumber(skin on), cut in half lengthwise then thinly sliced crosswise

2. Add the prepared mango, pineapple and cucumber; gently toss to coat.

1.You can buy peeled and cored pineapple in the produce section of most grocery stores.

2. You can make your own Sweet Sesame Dressing - it is really quite simple.

3. Test a slice of cucumber before cutting it all up. If it seems "tart" - peel it to remove the tart outer skin.
